Upon receiving the service request, EDC immediately dispatched a Field Technician to perform onsite diagnostics and system testing. The investigation identified a failed amplifier within the paging infrastructure.
As part of Medtronic’s long-term reliability strategy, spare amplifiers are maintained in inventory to support rapid recovery from hardware failures. EDC remotely programmed the replacement amplifier, allowing the onsite team to quickly install, commission, and validate the device on the network. The failed amplifier was removed and returned to the manufacturer for repair. Once repaired, it will be returned to Medtronic’s spare inventory, ensuring continued readiness for future service needs.
