International Healthcare System

Problem

A large healthcare system was experiencing audio and video issues in
a few of their primary trauma bays. Poor audio quality compromised the integrity
of the recordings which hindered the effectiveness of the review process.

Solution

The clinic turned to its trusted partner, Electronic Design Company
(EDC), for an upgrade to their current system. EDC knows that intelligibility
matters so we designed a system that would fit their needs, not just check a box.
EDC implemented a custom communication hub in combination with a ceiling
array microphone in each trauma room. Our critical communication hub was
configured by EDC to cut down background noise and capture dialogue clearly,
all while implementing directly into the clinic’s video recording system while also
offering easy future expansion due to the core’s flexibility.

Outcome

The system was well received by clinical and technical teams at the
clinic helping them maximize the value of their recordings to improve medical
practices.
