Warehouse Manager
Job Description
Responsible for purchasing equipment & supplies for project, MAC’s, service work orders, internal supplies & equipment. Responsible for shipping / receiving, inventory maintenance, tool, and equipment maintenance. Ensures materials are received, stored, tracked, and distributed in an accurate and efficient manner. Maintains
and reviews with management, material tracking reports and documents from both the accounting system and independent tracking systems, on a weekly and monthly basis. Also, may assist Purchasing manager with purchasing for projects, service, or sales orders.

Responsibilities
- Purchasing
- Responsible for issuing purchase orders to vendors using information provided by Engineering.
- Research suppliers & evaluate their products to ensure compliance with quality & cost efficiency.
- Negotiate prices & maintain relationships with vendors.
- Shipping and Receiving
- Responsible for ensuring the quantity and quality of incoming materials and equipment match what was ordered / required.
- Receive materials throughout the day from various common carriers.
- Ensure that incoming equipment is properly received, unpacked, and
- Review and approve packing list vs. purchase order
- Accurately enter receipts into the accounting system as items are received and notify buyer / project manager of receipt.
- Accurately label and store / stage materials equipment
- Ensure the proper packing and delivery of equipment to customer
- Arrange for and or deliver materials to the customer site in the most cost effective and safe manner for the required timeline.
- Track deliveries and shipments to verify receipt at client site, signed delivery tickets or shipping confirmation.
- Monitor the return of unused job-related or repair materials to the appropriate vendor.
- Create credit / repair purchase orders to track the returned materials
- Safely package for shipment, utilize shipping methods with tracking to ensure delivery of returned materials.
- Track return of repair materials from the vendor to EDC.
- Responsible for ensuring the quantity and quality of incoming materials and equipment match what was ordered / required.
- Inventory Maintenance
- Maintain an inventory of parts that are regularly used for the performance of Service Contract, Move Add Change, and Project activity. The target for total inventory value is between $80,000.00 and $120,000.00 with materials turning a minimum of once per calendar year.
- Review regularly with the operations, engineering, sales, and technical departments the contents of our inventory to identify any obsolete items that need to be removed from our inventory and update the list of items to be maintained in inventory.
- Arrange to have all obsolete inventory items sold in a manner that achieves the best value with minimal sales expense. (“Project Hot List”, E-bay, Craig’s list, Tech supplies, Liquidation)
- Work with manufactures and distributors to return project materials that are not required for project completion, track shipment and receipt of credit.
- Monitor, research, resolve, and adjust incoming and outgoing inventory data in the accounting system to maintain accuracy of units and value.
- Work with management to maintain control of overall valuation of inventory.
- Organize the warehouse for inventory and project staging purposes.
- All product in labeled bin locations (organized logically and matching Computer Ease)
- Verify all items have appropriate labels
- Verify unit of measure in Computer Ease matches pricing and counting method
- Coordinate and perform regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory count and valuation
- Schedule and coordinate necessary resources for count and variance analysis
- Document and distribute to all involved parties inventory count and documentation procedures
- Verify inventory count practices are accurate
- Review and update inventory descriptions. Clarify item descriptions to reflect manufacturer descriptions.
- Maintain and monitor re-ordering practices.
- Work with Operations and Technical resources to maintain efficient communication and ordering practices.
- Work with Operations and Technicians to evaluate inventory items that should be in inventory vs. shop supplies and inventory vs. non- inventory. Maintain ongoing communications as to the status of inventory and insure it reflects the needs of the company.
- Work with Operations on material tracking for all projects, service, and sales orders.
- Provide timely follow-up on status of customer/project orders, back orders, shipping schedules, equipment in for repair, etc
- Assist customer / project manager with wrong shipments, damaged goods, or missing
- Document and track the purchasing status for all project related materials for review by the project manager and management from time to time.
- Oversee process and tracking for repair of customer equipment
- Assist customer or sales/service staff with re-order of replacement parts for customer equipment
- Maintain knowledge of current products and related information
- Maintain confidential information related to customer transactions, including pricing, problems with units, manufacturing problems, etc
- Develop and maintain good relationships with customers and vendors

- Tool and Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain asset tracking sheets while following policy and tracking procedures for disbursement of equipment / tools to employees and projects.
- Maintain tech area supplies, test equipment, tools, and facilities
- Review with the Operations department the requirements for the Tech area to ensure proper configuration, supplies, and tools are in place.
- Maintain appropriate tools and equipment / access to appropriate tools and equipment for the performance of low voltage installation and service
- Perform timely inspections of company assigned / owned tools and equipment that may be in the possession of company
- Maintain and track safety inspections for lifts and rigging equipment.
- Maintain and track test equipment calibration and service dates.

Qualifications
The Warehouse Manager shall possess a minimum of two years’ experience in a warehouse environment or have sufficient related experience. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with other people. Purchasing or Technical A/V experience a plus.

- Valid and current driver’s license.
Physical, mental and environmental requirements
- Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers.
- Some lifting of heavy objects (70 lbs +) is required.
- Reaching, grasping, and carrying activities also required.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
