Electronic Design Company asked conference attendees to share their organization’s current top challenges. The combined results of this informal poll are presented in the chart below:
View the Chart »As many may have expected, “Improving Patient Satisfaction” was the top area of concern. This was followed by “Improving House Workflow, Improving Patient Safety, and Effective Management Reporting.” The rest of the challenges cited are quite varied but familiar to many care providers.
Thank you to everyone who shared their perspective and enabled us to better understand the challenges and goals of care providers. This knowledge will focus our design team on using technology to create the most appropriate solutions for care provider teams.
Electronic Design Company is now a Business Partner member in the Minnesota Organization of Leaders in Nursing (MOLN). This membership aligns with EDC’s goal to support healthcare organizations through using appropriate technology such as Nurse Call, Sound Masking, Mobility, Asset Tracking and Paging systems designed to improve patient satisfaction, patient safety and staff workflow.

Conference/Event Information »As part of our exhibition at the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals’ Winter Workshop, Electronic Design Company held a drawing to donate $500 to one of the schools represented by the MASSP members who stopped by our booth and entered the drawing. Principal Kristil McDonald won the donation for her school. Congratulations to Clearbrook – Gonvick Schools.

Our booth guests will also be entered in our giveaway of gift certificates to the Guthrie, Pantages, and Cowles performing arts centers. EDC will also conduct a brief survey of convention attendees about the state of the architectural design services environment. The survey results will be shared on the EDC Solutions website.
View Convention Website »EDC President, Dan Murray and Sales Executive, Joe Kankovsky attended the 5-day launch of GE’s latest Telligence patient/staff communications systems in Florida. In addition to hearing about the new systems, Joe and Dan met with other GE Strategic Partners and clinical specialists. These new systems are designed to enable improved patient satisfaction and healthcare process scores for healthcare providers by leveraging technology that is integrated with other provider systems.

John’s responsibilities as Market Solutions Manager are to make sure EDC’s design and service offerings match our clients’ business needs. John has both business experience at manufacturing and services organization and advanced business and technical training. He will work with the rest of EDC to continuously improve EDC’s marketing and sales processes.
EDC team members Dan Murray, Joe Kankovsky, and Rustin Bullert worked with other volunteers to complete the 3M River Bluff Pavilion at Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center in Hastings, Minnesota. Each year the Carpenter Center serves over 20,000 visitors, many of whom are K-12 students.

EDC displayed the General Electric Healthcare Telligence Nurse Call System. Joe met and discussed patient communications with attendees from Hennepin County Medical Center, Allina Unity Hospital, Glacier Ridge Hospital, Gillette Children’s Hospital, Steven’s County Healthcare, Health Partners, Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital, Riverview Health, Region’s Hospital, and Federal Medical Center. This GE system is designed to improve staff workflow, patient safety, and management reporting for acute care facilities. Electronic Design Company is the Strategic Provider for GE Healthcare communications system in our area.
